| Posted: 10 Apr 2014 05:07 AM PDT Fly Balloon, fly is a fun little game where you control a little fellow who for some reason or another is attached to a balloon. This may not sound like a bad thing really, but this guy has two major problems. First of all the helium in this balloon is super charged so he is always flying upwards. And secondly high above the skies of this guys town are these razor sharp swords that are just floating in mid air. What on earth kind of place does this guy come from? Well lucky for this guy you are there to help him out. By pressing on your touch screen he will start to descend. Getting the hang of this quickly is vital to getting a high score in this game. The swords come in pairs with one at the top and one at the bottom. You need to navigate this guy through the gaps. You need to get just the right height or he will either pop the balloon on the above sword which is game over right away. Or he will hit his butt on the bottom one sometimes when this happens you will be given a second chance to keep on going. What is interesting is that the position of the swords change from time to time. So when you think you have the payout mastered they will be in a slightly different position.
The game is really tough, actually I would go as far to say hard as nails, but at the same time it is a very addictive game. It's one of those games where you intend to just have a couple of goes, but as you are so determined to beat your score ( I won't say how pathetic my score was!) so that intended two minute play session can easily last you ten. The game may be tough, but it has been programmed very well so that once you get the hang of making this guy descend and ascend at the perfect rate you will be able to get a pretty decent high score. From a presentational point of view Fly Balloon, Fly is fairly easy on the eyes. The little guy you are controlling bares a bit of a resemblance to the Ice Climbers from the old Nintendo game. And the city below looks like some kind of Russian take on the game Earthbound. In all everything is nice and clear. The soundtrack is really cool and it adds a somewhat serene feeling to an otherwise very tense and stress inducing , but fun game. In all if you like fun and challenging games then Fly Balloon, Fly is well worth downloading. |
